Zach was born in Missouri, raised in Connecticut, and moved to Michigan to study Mathematics at Michigan State University. During the first months of his time there, he heard Christ say: "Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." By God's grace he was brought to repent of his rebellion and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He and his wife Lexi have one child. He and his family live in Lansing and are members of South Church.
