Our staff has compiled gift recommendations for the children in your life. Keep scrolling for our practical, tried-and-true, and sometimes unconventional picks for this Christmas season!

Boys Kindergarten-2nd Grade

  • Mr. Hummel’s pick for $5 or less: Dover Coloring Books. “Dover makes a variety of great coloring books. ‘‘Life in Ancient Egypt‘ and ‘Life in Ancient Greece‘ are great because they are the most accurate coloring books for these time periods.”

  • Mrs. Peng’s pick for $10 or less: Wooden Tetris Puzzle

  • Mrs. Zuiderveen’s pick for $15 or less: Dragonwood Game

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Mrs. Hull’s pick for $20 or less: Wedgits Blocks. “We love these because of the unique architectural structures children can create that go beyond squares and rectangles.”

Girls Kindergarten-2nd Grade

  • Mrs. Hummel’s pick for $10 or less: Milly-Molly-Mandy’s Things to Make and Do Book. “Make some jam tarts, an obstacle course, a quilt, or a miniature garden! This book contains lots of ideas perfect for your aspiring hobbyist. It’s extra special if the gift recipient is already familiar with Milly-Molly-Mandy and her adventures.”

  • Mrs. Peng’s pick for $10 or less: Little House Paper Dolls Kit. “These paper dolls include the entire Ingalls family (including Jack, their dog). Great for imaginative play!”

  • Mrs. Berggren’s pick for $20 or less: Adventures in Odyssey Radio Drama. Along the same lines: Focus on the Family’s Radio Theater. Stories include The Legend of Squanto, The Secret Garden, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hiding Place, and more!

  • Mrs. Zuiderveen’s pick for $30 or less: Calico Critters Toys

  • $60 or less: Magnetic Tiles. Mrs. Knapp’s pick: Magnatiles. Mrs. Hummel’s pick: Picasso Tiles
